We purchased our home in a small Norfolk village ‘off-plan’ but felt we needed another room to meet our needs which was added before we moved in. We had created a large and slightly awkward outside space between the 2 rooms which we wanted to try and use efficiently year round. The newly created space was south facing - in the summer we couldn’t sit outside due to the sun beating down and in the winter it was a wind trap. Following a long exploration of options, we decided we wanted to find a solution to fill the ‘empty’ 100 sq.ft by creating an entirely new fully enclosed room. We wanted the new room to have a louvered ‘roof’ to protect us from the sun and the front garden facing structure to also be able to protect us from the sun as it sets. We spent much time trying to design something ourselves and find a solution.  To no avail. We were therefore delighted to discover LOD - via a Facebook feed - located only a few miles from our home. The bespoke quality and functionality of their product was far superior to anything we had researched. We were even more pleased when we found the company to be friendly and professional and more than capable of translating our scribbles and requirements into workable solutions with an extensive and easy to understand rosta of options. Having run through a whole gamut of requirements and different potential approaches, we were delighted that Kurt and the team could translate our ideas into practical solutions, helped substantially by the generous size of their office and workshop which included a finished layout so we could see the quality of the structure and all ‘extras’ that we sought. We very quickly decided that this was the way forward and within a few short months of our first meeting the work was completed. We are writing this from our heated completed garden room, wind and rain is outside the structure but we are happily dry, warm and cosy. When Summer arrives we now have the choice of opening the roof system a little or a lot as well as opening the sliding shutters to the garden. We are so, so pleased with the latest addition to our home… our Renson Pergola garden room, provided and installed by Luxury Outdoor Design of Attleborough. The contemporary design has blended in so well and is an amazing contrast to our 18th century Grade II listed home. It definitely has a wow factor! From start to finish, the landscaping and build was so professional, and all completed within the expected timescale that was discussed at the start of this project. Wow - the whole experience with the team at outdoor luxury kitchens has been exceptional. We have been talking to Kurt for possibly two years trying to decide what we wanted and at no time has he ever pressured us or pushed he’s always listened and said go away and think and let me know. But we finally Got there with the most amazing outdoor kitchen which has been my husbands dream For a long time. The team have worked tirelessly to get it up and running in time for a birthday event, and have been an absolute joy to have around the house. It was also done in ridiculously hot weather and with not one complaint. The oven itself is incredible it looks brilliant and our first pizzas this weekend were epic. But the service Provided was more than the above, several things happened on our property during the time Kurt and the team were around or working nearby and every single time with any thing big or small they helped out, from moving things to fixing burst pipes to making sure I could lift items into a skip - they truly went above and beyond and no amount of words can thank them for that.
