How we Work

We’re here to guide you through what to expect when working with us, and whether we’re the right fit for your home and your project.

When exploring a pergola or outdoor kitchen, understanding the process is just as important as understanding the product itself.

It’s completely natural to want clarity, to know what happens when, how decisions are made, and what the journey looks like from the very first conversation through to completion.

We’ve laid out each step below to make everything as clear and transparent as possible. There are no hidden stages, no pressure and no guesswork, just a straightforward process designed to help you feel confident, informed and comfortable at every point.

Get in Touch

Once you reach out, we’ll have a brief chat about your plans so that we can understand what you’re looking to create and which of our services will suit you best. There’s no need for exact measurements at this stage — just a general sense of how you hope to use your space and the experience you want it to create. This helps us guide you in the right direction from the very start.

The next step is booking your visit - we can arrange it over the phone or send you an email with our booking link.

Showroom Appointment

A showroom visit is the best way to get a feel for the quality of the products we work with. Here, you’ll be able to explore the different appliances, materials and Renson pergolas on display. We will talk through what might best suit your project.

Bringing along a few photos of your garden or the area you’re thinking about really helps us tailor the conversation.

By the end of the appointment, you’ll have a clear sense of the design direction that suits your home and the options that feel right for your project.

Guide Price

After your showroom visit, we’ll prepare a guide price based on the ideas we’ve discussed and the photos or measurements you’ve shared. This gives you a clear understanding of what your preferred specification is likely to cost before moving any further.

Nothing is fixed at this stage — it’s simply an opportunity to understand the investment involved, explore the options available to you, and decide whether you’d like to take the next step.

Site Survey

If you are interested in exploring the project further, the next step is a site survey. This is where we visit your home to take accurate measurements and understand the space properly.

Seeing the area in person allows us to confirm the layout, identify any details that may not have been clear from photos, and check for anything that needs to be considered before installation.

It also gives us the opportunity to ensure the design flows seamlessly with your existing architecture and the natural lines of your garden, so everything feels intentional and well-integrated.

CAD Design, Revisions and Final Quote

Following the site survey, we’ll create a detailed CAD design using the accurate measurements we’ve taken and everything we’ve learned about your space. This allows us to map out the layout properly and ensure the design works seamlessly with your home and garden.

We’ll share the design with you and talk through any adjustments you’d like to make. This is your chance to explore different options, refine the details and make sure everything feels exactly right.

Once you’re happy with the direction, we’ll prepare a final quote that reflects the agreed specification and all installation requirements.

You’re welcome to take as much time as you need to think things through and decide how you’d like to move forward.

Appliances and Materials Ordered

Once you’re happy to move forward, we’ll then place the order for your Renson pergola/outdoor kitchen materials/any outdoor appliances included in your design.

From here, we’ll confirm lead times, keep you updated on manufacturing progress, and outline the expected installation window so you know exactly what to expect as your project moves into the next phase.

Build & Installation — What to Expect

Once everything arrives and the installation date is agreed, our small in-house team will be on site to carry out the build. You’ll be looked after by the same people who have guided you through the project so far, ensuring a consistent, personal experience from start to finish.

We will have already discussed the installation plan with you, ensuring that you’re comfortable with how the installation will run. The build is handled with care and attention to detail, with as little disruption to your home as possible.

If your project includes lighting, heating or any electrical elements, our certified and trusted electrician, Jason, will join us on site to carry out those works safely and professionally.

We take care of all structural elements, positioning, alignment and finishing touches to ensure everything fits perfectly and performs exactly as it should.

Throughout the installation, we’ll keep you updated so you always know what is happening and what to expect next.

Completion & Aftercare

Once your installation is complete, we’ll walk you through everything so you feel confident using your new space from day one. We’ll demonstrate how any features work — whether that’s lighting, heating, screens, appliances or controls — and make sure you’re comfortable operating each part.

We’ll also talk you through the aftercare and simple maintenance tips to ensure your project remains beautiful and functional for many years to come.

As a local business, we’re always close by if you ever need anything. Whether you have a question, want advice, or would simply like us to check something over, you can count on us to be available and easy to reach long after the project is finished.
